Description
There is a tremendous value in learning with another person and we want to explore this ancient and still timely practice with you.
Join adults in person (daytime) or on Zoom (evening sessions) as we learn the ancient practice of Havruta (Aramaic for the word "compassion" or "friendship"), learning with a partner. In this 5-part series, we will explore various ways of learning in pairs, experience the deep and transformative power of learning with a partner, as we study texts, poetry, and use a variety of modalities to learn together.
We have two opportunities available.
In partnership with Retreat House Spirituality Center in Richardson, we will be offering a daytime series on Wednesdays, February 1, 15, March 1, 15, 29 from 1:00-2:15 p.m.
We will also be offering an evening series via Zoom. Same dates, at 7:00-8:15 p.m. to accommodate people who don't want to drive in the evenings and can't make it to daytime in-person classes.
For more information, contact Karen@livingonpurpose.us or go to Retreat House site at https://www.retreathousecommunity.org/upcoming-events/havruta
Registration for entire series is $100, with a percentage of proceeds going to support Retreat House Spirituality Center, a nonprofit organization in Richardson, Texas. Scholarships are available directly through Karen.
