Bird Walk at Frisco Commons
March 17 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am CDT

We will meet at the Pavilion at the entrance to the park and wander through the woods looking for our local birds. While searching them out, we will discuss what birds are common in this area, what they look like, and how they sound. Since we are moving into nesting season, we may even be able to see some new nests being built as they prepare for babies. We plan to stay on the sidewalk paths, but in case you want to leave the path, it would be best to wear long pants and long sleeves, and bug spray. Bring your binoculars or camera if you have them, but you don’t need them to join.
The walk will be led by Amiee Negron, the owner of the Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop in Frisco. She has been a backyard bird enthusiast for many years and her love of birds, desire to care for, and learn more about them led her to where she is today! When not at the store, she keeps busy with family, pets and spending time outdoors.
This is a great way to get outside, breathe some fresh air, and see some of the amazing creatures we have in our own backyards!
